This survey is being administered to learn from the collective experiences of providers who are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), state-accredited providers, and jointly accredited providers.

We are grateful to the ACCME for the generous support that has made the survey development and distribution possible.

Specific research objectives include the following:

  1. Document the adaptive responses and experiences (e.g., best practices, challenges, set-backs, needs assessments, resource development, lessons learned) of these institutions and organizations in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic.
  2. Determine factors associated with achieving intended outcomes and overcoming barriers, as relevant to providers by provider type.
  3. Identify gaps that cut across CPD providers that may warrant consideration by policymakers, accreditation bodies, and regulators in strengthening the planning for public health emergencies.

Participation in this survey is entirely voluntary, with responses collected anonymously and summarized in aggregate. We estimate that it will take about 15 minutes to complete the survey.

In addition, a few respondents will be invited to participate in a follow-up interview. Should you be agreeable to being interviewed, your name and contact information will be collected but not linked to your survey data.

We are seeking responses reflecting your institution, rather than individual experiences, so please feel free to email us the name of a more appropriate colleague to summarize the COVID response of your institution, if appropriate. If you have any questions about this research, please contact Dr. Michael Fordis, Principal Investigator, at fordis@bcm.edu.

Thank you for your assistance in this important project. By continuing, you acknowledge that you have read the above and agree to participate.
